Position summary

  • Key leadership role, reporting to the Commercial Executive.
  • Accountable for developing and implementing a strategic vision for pricing to maintain leading position in the market.
  • Driving cultural change in the commercial function, throughout company and with suppliers.
  • A highly visible role in company, leading a centralised pricing capability to convert the business value assets into EBIT and sustainable profit growth.

Responsibilities

  • To provide strategic leadership to the commercial function covering multiple teams
  • To provide comprehensive leadership for corporate pricing, revenue, margin, volume structures and strategy, including strategic price setting across market leading products
  • To build and grow profitable relationships with product teams, marketing, C suite, finance
  • To lead all key pricing initiatives, including business planning, channel pricing guidelines, promotional effectiveness, customer loyalty, suppliers

 

Activities

  • Actively manage, test and inform a value-based pricing strategy to drive more revenue, margin and profitability across online and retail channels and deliver more value to customers
  • Provide clear and logical price options and trade offs at executive team meetings
  • Lead an agile pricing team and continue to improve pricing processes, operations and reporting to make higher-quality decisions
  • Drive the formulation, development, and evaluation of price profit models, promotional mechanics, competitive intelligence and price data architecture.
  • Facilitate superior promotional effectiveness through agile execution and lean start up methodologies.
  • Thought leadership and advocacy to leverage function impact.
  • Mentor and develop pricing team as next generation of leaders.
  • Provide on-going change management to product teams and key stakeholders across the wider business
  • Work with suppliers on funding matters to improve ROI

Requirements

  • Proven track record of 8+years in building and leading a value based pricing strategy function in a B2C retail company.
  • Strategic commercial pricing experience, including delivering high impact pricing / promotions strategies, price optimisation projects, execution, analysis or consultancy.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (preferably in Economics, Business, Mathematics, Engineering, Marketing or finance) is essential. MBA highly desired.
  • A Strategic leader with recent and excellent price modelling and data skills
  • An experienced leader with strong end to end pricing knowledge to get a relatively new pricing capability up and running.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and outspoken advocate of growing the bottom line using a disciplined approach to price and revenue management and operations.
  • A team player focused on being a coach and mentor to build the department in best practise.
  • A confident and influential person with excellent communication skills; and a track record influencing strategy with senior leadership teams (C suite) and product teams.
  • Highly motivated self-starter who thrives in autonomous team working environment

Position summary

▪ As the Senior B2B Pricing Commercial Insights Analyst, you will be responsible for reviewing, analysing and interpreting all relevant information sources to deliver insights and analysis through to B2B pricing and other teams. ▪ You will be the key advisor within the B2B Pricing Team for other disciplines, both for incoming information and outgoing trends and analysis.

▪ A key element of the role is developing the analytical tools that will be used by the B2B Pricing Team. You will be the focal point within the B2B Pricing Team for other disciplines, both for incoming information and outgoing trends and analysis.

Key responsibilities

▪ To develop, operate, enhance analysis tools and models

▪ To liaise and engage with internal SMEs to ensure the models accurately reflect the value drivers across the supply chain through to customer
