Position summary

  • As a Strategic Pricing & Revenue Analyst, you will lead the analysis of optimum invoice prices across major brands and products to inform and build on a value based customer segmentation and strategy.
  • You will naturally test and adapt your thinking and modelling to find pricing and customer insights that will generate value for customers and the business.
  • You will manipulate and analyse large data sets to understand business and demand drivers, and inform marketing strategies and price setting protocols on an ongoing basis
  • You will enjoy working cross functionally to drive optimal commercial decision making

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • To play a lead role in product price repositioning and optimisation
  • To manage daily pricing decisions and price setting actions for profitable value and volume growth.
  • To improve overall business pricing / discounts practices
  • To develop sophisticated price models, tools and visualisation dashboards

 

Activities

  • To assess cost, customer and demand drivers across different product, brands, segments and geographies
  • To review market pricing and consumer behaviour and assess opportunities to move prices.
  • To monitor competitor price increases and impact on sales volume, margin and profit
  • To design price pilots and tests to optimise prices, including value driver analysis to drive optimal prices and revenue growth
  • To optimise performance against segmentation
  • To forecast the impact of differential price testing
  • To develop price and financial models
  • To monitor results of strategies, campaigns and tests against business plans
  • To engage with stakeholders and build strong relationships
  • To interpret system output and data visualisations
  • To feedback all outcomes into well-structured reports & presentations

 

Requirements

  • Strategic pricing and revenue management experience, including delivering high impact pricing / promotions strategies, programs, execution, analysis or consultancy
  • An undergraduate degree and/or post graduate in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Psychology, Social Sciences
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of a P&L
  • Excellent commercial acumen
  • Advanced excel, data modelling and analytical skills
  • A passion for pricing and data analytics
  • Highly motivated self-starter, with intellectual curiosity
  • Strong strategic thinking ability
  • Good communication skills and teamwork ability

Position summary

▪ As the Senior B2B Pricing Commercial Insights Analyst, you will be responsible for reviewing, analysing and interpreting all relevant information sources to deliver insights and analysis through to B2B pricing and other teams. ▪ You will be the key advisor within the B2B Pricing Team for other disciplines, both for incoming information and outgoing trends and analysis.

▪ A key element of the role is developing the analytical tools that will be used by the B2B Pricing Team. You will be the focal point within the B2B Pricing Team for other disciplines, both for incoming information and outgoing trends and analysis.

Key responsibilities

▪ To develop, operate, enhance analysis tools and models

▪ To liaise and engage with internal SMEs to ensure the models accurately reflect the value drivers across the supply chain through to customer

▪ To liaise and engage with B2B sales to ensure systems and processes are effectively capturing and utilising market intelligence

▪ To engage with Ampol, Singapore trading team for relevant market views and corresponding value drivers

▪ Develop advanced analytical models and framework for the B2B Pricing Team, including:

o Forward Market Call o Quote models o Any additional analysis tools developed for B2B Pricing

▪ Analyse market intel and customer data to identify customer insights

▪ Communicate these insights internally with relevant groups to build reciprocal knowledge sharing

▪ Work with B2B Pricing Analysts to align model data and processes to current market feedback

▪ Provide cross coverage support as required to other analytical roles within the B2B Pricing Team

▪ Conduct value analysis by segment – working with B2B team to continually refresh and align value of offer segments

Activities
